From 12 September to 9 December, the JICA Knowledge Co-Creation Program for Reinforcement of Meteorological Services 2022 was held in Tokyo for the first time in 3 years including two-week online session and two-month face-to-face session. This training program is organized for promising officers, who are expected to lead National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs) and eleven members were invited this year from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Fiji, Kiribati, Mozambique, Philippines, Timor-Leste, Tonga, Vanuatu, Vietnam. The course is designed to provide relevant knowledge and key techniques for use in numerical weather prediction, disaster risk reduction, satellite meteorology and climate information for advanced meteorological services. All participants built their capacities for the application of these resources to the production and delivery of meteorological and climatological information needed by disaster prevention authorities and other users.
