Composite weather radar echoes and precipitation forecasts up to 60 minutes ahead are displayed in 1 km x 1 km resolution every 5 and 10 minutes, respectively. Any out-of-operation radars may cause radar echoes in affected areas to be weaker than they should be or not displayed at all.
Precipitation Nowcasts provide ten-minute precipitation forecasts of swiftly growing convections with a spatial resolution of 1 km up to an hour ahead to assist with disaster prevention activities. Nowcasts are issued every ten minutes within three minutes of each radar observation.

Each activity has the following meanings.
- activity 4 : many lightning strikes
- activity 3 : some lightning strikes
- activity 2 : thundering
- activity 1 : potential for thundering
In the level 2 area, a hazardous wind such as a tornado occurs at the probability of 5-10% within an hour.
Similarly, a hazardous wind occurs at the probability of 1-5% in the level 1 area.
Though a hazardous wind is very rare phenomenon, it might take a heavy toll of lives.
Therefore, even at the low possibility of occurrence of a hazardous wind in the level 1 or level 2 areas,
when you hear thunder, see lightning, or observe dark threatening clouds developing overhead,
please try to secure from the hazardous wind in a sturdy building. Besides,
hazardous wind also happen even in the region where the possibility is lower than level 1.
Please pay enough attention to the sudden changes in the weather.
