Senior officials of meteorological organizations dropped in at the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) on the occasion of the Fourth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD-IV) (30 May 2008)

  The Fourth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD-IV) was held at Yokohama, Japan, from 28 to 30 May 2008 to discuss current development issues in Africa such as climate change. African leaders and representatives of international organizations participated in TICAD-IV, including high-level officials of meteorological organizations.

  Dr. Buruhani S Nyenzi (Director of the Climate Prediction and Adaptation Branch of the World Meteorological Organization, WMO) and Dr. Abdalah Mokssit (Deputy Director-General of the Moroccan Meteorological Service, DMN) dropped in at JMA to exchange views on the role of WMO and National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs) in Global Climate Change.
