Visit by the Meteorological, Climatological and Geophysical Agency of Indonesia（BMKG）
On 13th December 2022, Mr. Dwi Budi Sutrisno (Executive Secretary of the Meteorological, Climatological and Geophysical Agency of Indonesia, or Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika (BMKG) in Indonesian) led a delegation on a visit to the Japan Meteorological Agency to explore Earthquake Early Warnings in Japan toward related development in Indonesia. During the visit, Mr. Sutrisno and Mr. Suko Prayitno Adi (Deputy Head of Geophysics at BMKG) paid a courtesy visit to OBAYASHI Masanori, the JMA Deputy Director-General for Disaster Mitigation. JMA representatives subsequently gave presentations on Earthquake Early Warnings and related collaboration with disaster-prevention organizations. The visiting delegation also observed work in the Agency’s earthquake/tsunami operation room.
