The 7th meeting of Working Group on Meteorology (WGM-7) of the ESCAP/WMO Typhoon Committee
To minimize typhoon disasters in the Asia-Pacific region, international cooperation is vitally important. The Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP)/World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Typhoon Committee is the platform where all stakeholders from meteorology, hydrology, disaster risk reduction, and research meet and work together.
On 30 October 2024, Dr. Duan Yihong, Secretary of the ESCAP/WMO Typhoon Committee Secretariat, visited to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) to attend the seventh meeting of Working Group on Meteorology (WGM-7) of the ESCAP/WMO Typhoon Committee, and met with Mr. MORI Takashi, the Director-General of JMA.
