The Deputy Director-General at the National Hydro-Meteorological Service (NHMS) Viet Nam, Mr. Le Thanh Hai, led a delegation on a visit to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) on 8 and 12 December 2016.

On the first day, the delegation visited JMA’s Meteorological Research Institute (MRI), Aerological Observatory and Regional Instrument Centre (RIC), all of which are based in Tsukuba.

On 12 December, the group paid a courtesy visit to JMA Director-General Dr. Toshihiko Hashida and was given a tour of JMA operational centers. They spent the rest of the time engaging in discussions with JMA staff on organizational management and future collaboration between NHMS and JMA in various fields.
