Seventh Typhoon Committee Training Seminar at the RSMC Tokyo - Typhoon Center (18-27 July 2007)

Seventh on-the-job training in typhoon operations --- with Director-General   Two woman forecasters, Ms. Sorany Luch from Cambodia (MOWRAM) and Ms. Avelina G. Postanes from Philippines (PAGASA), visited the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) from 18 to 27 July 2007 to participate in the Seventh Typhoon Committee Training Seminar (on-the-job training in typhoon operations) at the RSMC Tokyo - Typhoon Center. Two forecasters learned skills to analyze tropical cyclones, including typhoons, using satellite imagery and other synoptic data.
