Imagery dissemination services

Direct dissemination service (LRIT)

This service provides MTSAT's low-resolution imagery to users with less-expensive dedicated receiving equipment. Full-disk imagery of infrared channel 1 and visible channel is available every hour, while that of infrared channel 3 is available every six hours. Polar-stereographic imagery of visible and infrared channels 1, 3 and 4 covering East Asia is also available at 30-minute intervals. Imagery can be obtained through direct broadcast (one-to-many dissemination to registered users) from MTSAT at no cost.
