Dr. Zheng Guoguang, Administrator of the China Earthquake Administration (CEA), led a delegation on a visit to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) on 9 July 2018.

CEA and JMA detailed their responsibilities and the activities of their respective organizations in the field of earthquake disaster risk reduction and discussed common interests relating to earthquake warnings/information services and other matters.

The meeting highlighted the importance of dialogue and collaboration between CEA and JMA with respect to technical research/development and societal awareness/utilization of earthquake warnings and information.
