| Aeolian Dust Information | Marked in the observation map are the weather stations in East Asia (20-50, 110-150ーE) which observed aeolian dust or local sand/dust haze during the day. The figure is updated whenever new data become available. The prediction is issued for thick aeolian dust area (where visibility is lower than 10km) at every 1.25 degrees X 1.25 degrees grid, when weather stations in East Asia (20 - 50ーN, 110 - 150ーE) observe aeolian dust or local sand/dust haze during past two days. For this reason, thin aeolian dust may be observed in areas where aeolian dust is not predicted. The prediction is updated at around 5 am every day. |
